Creative Commons (CC) license is one of several public copyright licenses that enable the free distribution of an otherwise copyrighted work. A CC license is used when an author wants to give people the right to share, use, and build upon a work that they have created.

There are different types of CC licenses available and as such, some of the images contained in SlideBot are only allowed to be used in non-commercial contexts. For more information on the types of CC licenses available, click here. If you would like to restrict the images you see to be only those that are royalty-free and can be used anywhere, follow the following steps:

Step 1: Click on ‘show more options’ in the upload screen

When you click on this button, two more options will appear that will enable further customisation of your presentation.

Step 2: Select the ‘commercial use’ option

By selecting the ‘commercial use’ option, SlideBot will automatically restrict the types of images that can be used in your presentation to those that are available to be used in a commercial context under Creative Commons.
